Testing PDF Print E-mail

Many times a motor failure or problem may not be what it seems. It takes a lot of knowledge and a little detective work to insure that the motor is properly repaired and that the problem doesn't recur. In other words, it's not just determining what's wrong with the motor, but what caused the problem in the first place. Testing gives us the upper hand, especially when you have over a 125 years of combined experience in the department.

We check a number of things, some standard, some out of the norm.

  • Verify RPMs
  • Check Balancing
  • Run a Load Test
  • Monitor Temperature
  • Vibration Analysis
  • Test Windings
  • Record Data
  • And More...

One of the most important things we do, however, is determine precisely what needs to be fixed and whether it's more economical to repair it or replace it. We keep it honest and our costs in line and we wouldn't have it any other way.
